Formal Notice – Withdrawal of Voluntary Union Services and Support
To: All Acting Supervisors – Road, Operations & T-Comm
Coast Mountain Bus Company
Brothers, Sisters & Siblings,
At noon today Thursday September 3rd the Union informed Coast Mountain Bus Company that we will withdraw all voluntary union services, assistance, cooperation and support provided to Acting Supervisors within Road, Operations and T-Comm.
Effective September 7, members will no longer provide voluntary assistance, cooperation or support to the Acting Supervisor structure beyond their obligations under the collective agreement, applicable legislation, or their regular assigned duties.
The Union remains prepared and willing to bargain. The door to negotiations remains open, and we believe a negotiated settlement is in the best interests of our members, the Company and the operation as a whole.
Our message is simple:
The Union is ready to bargain.
The Union is ready to resolve this.
Now it is time for the Company to return to the bargaining table.
This decision has not been taken lightly. However, the Union believes that action is necessary to protect the interests of our members and demonstrate the strength and solidarity of our collective position.

We encourage all Acting Supervisors to understand that this action is part of the Union’s broader labour relations strategy and is not a reflection of their individual professionalism, contributions or value as employees.
We ask all members to remain professional, respectful and disciplined throughout this process. This is a collective labour relations action and must not become personal. There is no place for harassment, confrontation or unnecessary conflict.
The Union remains committed to resolving the outstanding issues through collective bargaining.
Return to the bargaining table. Let’s get this resolved.
